This tween and teen book is a teacher’s solution to the challenges that came along for young people with the advent of the Internet and the growing instant access to a world that is both helpful and hurtful. How do we protect them from bullying, from pedophiles, from the fear that no one could possibly understand them, and even worse, that grownups cannot be trusted? This novel with it’s unique and fun format is set up to be a “chat room” that is safe for them, where they can discuss their challenges and work out solutions without the potential of being taken advantage of just because they are so vulnerable. Dimick is a life-long teacher who often credits her students with the ideas for her best works.
