Since you’re here, I assume you want to know a little about me. Book report due?

After graduating from Castleton State College in southern Vermont, I taught high school English at Northern Adirondack Central School in Ellenburg Depot, New York, and at DeLand High School in DeLand, Florida. For many years, I lectured in the evenings as an adjunct faculty member at the State University of New York, Plattsburgh Campus. A novel based on rumors of a local murder always tried to nibble its way from the back of my mind to the printed page. Ironically, that story appears in my second book.

I never forgot what it was like to be a spaghetti-legged teen living in the sticks and trying to fit in with the popular crowd. How klutzy was I? I hit the driver’s education teacher’s car with the driver’s education car.

I’m proof that geeky girls can date athletes. I met my husband, Barry, while serving as the bat girl for his college baseball team. Like the girls in my novels, I dated an athlete.

The boys in my novels care about grades and sports. Like all of us, my characters have quirks. Their eccentricities show most in Silent Screams.

My mantra is “Don’t think for a minute teens go through high school unscathed.” In all my books, the characters face trials.

My website photo was taken last summer at a book-signing event at the Galaxy Bookstore in Vermont. I’m talking about the plot of Blame with two teens.
